Fudêncio e Seus Amigos was an adult cartoon series from MTV Brasil. The series premiered on August 23, 2005 and lasted for six seasons, for six years, until August 25, 2011. Created by Thiago Martins, Marco Pavão and Flávia Boggio and produced by Thiago Martins and Pavão, this show is the second successful project with MTV Brasil. Just like the previous project, the Megaliga MTV of VJs Paladins, was very successful.

Why These Seasons Rock

  1. Most of the main characters have funny and memorable catchphrases like: Funérea's "Ah, que infortúnio", Fudêncio's "Mi mi mi mi mi", Cudi's "Ponto negativo para você!", Kevin Costa's "Maldito jovem do reggae", Conrado's "Eu só me fodo nessa merda", etc.
  2. Creative and smart title cards from seasons 1 to 3.
  3. Undoubtedly, Conrado is the more likeable character of the series.
  4. Pays a good tribute to pop culture, containing several parodies in several episodes.
  5. It was one of the most popular cartoons of the extinct MTV Brasil.
  6. Memorable characters with very unique characteristics, such as Safeno, a little boy who's always sick; Zé Maria, a girl with a deep male voice; Popoto, a fat and stupid guy who's still being held back on fourth grade despite being an adult; Conrado, a kid with a persimmon head; Baltazar, a talking cockroach who's based after classic cartoon characters, and more. Every single one of them have their own unique way of speaking, which is a nice touch.
  7. There were two great spin offs:
    • Só Peruibe Salva, Where Peruibe answered calls from people during the program, this spin off was shown during or after the episode.
    • Infortunio Com a Funerea, Where Funerea interviewed real people, it started as a spin off within the drawing, and then it became a separate show, and even after the main series ended, it continued until 2013 when MTV Brasil closed its doors.
  8. The snout narrator is very funny.
  9. The dubbing is done by the production team of the cartoon. Even though they're not professional voice actors (except for Kevin Costa and the narrator) the voices that the production team makes for the characters are very good and match well with the characters. Even after several voices got replaced, some of the replacements are still as good as the original voice actors such as Neguinho and Zé Maria.
  10. Awesome and catchy theme song that presents the show's tone and some main characters.
  11. From season 4 onwards, the show gained more animators and the animation massively improved.
  12. Some one-episode characters were turned into supporting characters in later episodes, such as Joey Ramone from "Cova Redonda" and Vingativa and Mestre dos Bofes from "Caverna da Dregona".
  13. Several good/amazing episodes, such as:
    • Quiprocó na Lama (which was a great start to the show)
    • Corrida Mambembe
    • Domingo nas FARC
    • Aparando a Rabiola
    • Código Popoto
    • Baltazar é um Barato
    • Banana Mouche
    • Caverna da Dregona
    • I Wanna Loyô
    • Gemiocídio
    • Foi-se o Martelo
    • URB-2
    • Bala na Droga (arguably the best episode)
    • Eu Sou Trabalhador
    • Karatê Cudi
    • Desquitismo
    • Teste de DJ
    • Ex-Peologia
    • Top Goma
    • Apagando o Sapo
    • Aparicilds
    • I Don't Wanna Be Buried In A Pet Sematary
    • Anjo da Lei
    • Ahhtata Rabuzac
    • Animação Animada
    • Garota Maravilha
    • Mensagem Subliminar
    • Futibas Church
    • Emorruídos
    • Chavonildo
    • Balonismo
    • Gay!!
    • Fudêncio Mutante
    • Má Influenza
    • Intercâmbio Criminal
    • Folclore no Caqui dos Outros é Refresco
    • Olha Só O Que A Funérea Está Falando
    • Capeta em Forma de Guri
    • Champa Avonts
    • Prástica pro Provo
    • Extraterrestre
    • Gangue do Patrão
    • Menino Diabo
    • Doces ou Travessuras

Bad Qualities

  1. Conrado is the butt-monkey in the cartoon, and seeing him fail at the end of each episode is very repetitive and sometimes frustrating, but also. The characters can sound nasty because of the way they treat Conrado.
  2. The flash animation looks cheap and poorly-made for Brazilian animation standards, due to the show having few animators and being made in a short amount of time.
  3. Some dated references here and there, even though the producers tried to avoid it as much as they could. For example, "Emorruídos" is all about emos and emo bands, and in "Menino Diabo", Conrado watches an ad with an extreme 2000's aesthetic.
  4. The last two seasons were not very good and caused the show to go massively downhill.
  5. Some bad/mediocre episodes, such as:
    • Pitoco de Guache
    • Ciência Caprina
    • Apaixonado pra Caqui
    • A Boneca do Zezé
    • Bala Ploft
    • Super Cocô
    • Paixonite
    • Quem Tem Tesão, Não Ama
    • A Loira do Cocô
    • Bost
    • The entire Fudêncio 2000 miniseries (which is when the show truly started to go downhill)
  6. Conrado's voice actor gets replaced in Season 4, not sounding anything like his original voice and kind of annoying.
  7. In Season 4, the title cards of Fudêncio and Conrado's drawings are replaced by bland titles, though at least they have varied fonts unlike Season 6.

Reception

Despite being quickly forgotten after MTV closed his doors in 2013, the show received positive reviews from the public, on IMDB his grade is 8/10 and on the same site a user called the drawing "Brazilian South Park", however there are a handful of missing episodes that are nowhere on the internet.
