Nickelodeon presents, the return of the good old days of Nick! so, let's rewind the tape!"

NickRewind (formerly The '90s Are All That, The Splat, and NickSplat) is a programming block that broadcasts nightly over TeenNick.

Why It Rocks

  1. The block shows reruns of classic mid-late 1980s, 1990s, and early-mid 2000s children's programming, mostly shows that aired on Nickelodeon during their original runs. It was also aired some movies which were released by Paramount Pictures.
  2. Awesome callbacks such as commercials, promos, bumpers and everything.
  3. It even aired reruns for the 25th Anniversary of three Nicktoons (Doug, Rugrats, and The Ren & Stimpy Show).
  4. Speaking of which, it also celebrated the 25th Anniversary for the SNICK block.
  5. It spawned merchandise for both Nicktoons and live-action shows.
  6. Besides that, it even shown reruns of Nicktoons like Rocko's Modern Life, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom as well as some live-action shows like Clarissa Explains It All, Kenan & Kel, All That, Hey Dude, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, The Amanda Show, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and more.
  7. Most of the fans say if they wanted to be a TV channel, instead of a programming block.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. The Latin American and Brazilian versions of NickRewind was broadcasted as special on Nickelodeon Latin America and Brazil on August 2020 wasn't good, since shows they aired current shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and The Loud House, that shouldn't deserved to be aired in the block at all.

  • Before the logo rebrand in 2019, Nick Rewind was an hour long block on Nickelodeon that aired from 1:00 - 2:00 pm EDT every Sunday in the spring of 2006. It featured such shows as The Wild Thornberrys, Rocko's Modern Life, Rocket Power, and The Ren & Stimpy Show. It also featured old Nickelodeon bumpers and station ads. The block stopped airing in August 20, 2006, and the station IDs weren't used anymore.
  • Speaking of which, Nick Rewind was also a brand of merchandise and clothing, collection of DVDs released by Paramount Home Entertainment, (to sell exclusive manufacture-on-demand DVD sets) and Shout! Factory, as well as some Nicktoons on Comcast through OnDemand. It is also currently a series of iTunes collections composed of old Nicktoons.

This block is great, but it tries too hard to appeal to "90s kids" and airs dumb sitcoms after it's done. 8/10.
