Here's how to do a good re-imagining of a classic fairy-tale.

The 7D is a Children's animated Disney series and a musical cartoon created by Disney Television Animation, and it premieres on Disney XD on July 7, 2014. It re-creates the dwarfs from the 1937 Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by Walt Disney Animation Studios, and their adventures prior to the introduction of Snow White. The first season contains 24 episodes. On December 2, 2014, the series was renewed for a second season. On April 25, 2016, Disney XD announced that the series was cancelled after the second season. The show was then cancelled on November 5, 2016.

Why It Rocks

  1. Good voice actors.
  2. Catchy songs such as Grump it Up, Take Your Pet to Lunch Day, Happy Guy, etc.
  3. Likable characters such as The 7D, Queen Delightful, Lord Starchbottom "Starchy," etc.
  4. No rude languages
  5. The story makes sense throughout the entire series.
  6. The Heigh Ho song!
  7. Funny scenes like the cats ate Grumpy's cheese.
  8. Innocent scenes for kids.
  9. Bashful's relationship with Queen Delightful is very adorable.
  10. The Crystal Ball's jokes and puns are very hilarious, especially from "Surely, You Jest."
  11. Good morals such as "revenge isn't the answer to anything" ("What Are You, Five?").
  12. There is a music video called "I'm Not Very Nice" by Hildy Gloom (voiced by Kelly Osbourne) before playing the final episode "A Sneeze in Time, " which is a good touch to end the series.

Bad Qualities

  1. The characters doesn't look like the old style dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
  2. Some episodes can be annoying.
  3. The animation may be bland like some modern cartoons.
  4. Grumpy and Lord Starchbottom can be unlikable sometimes.
  5. There is a few episodes that Grumpy said some mean words in a kid's show (it is similar to a Powerpuff Girls epiosde "Curses"). Thankfully, Happy warned the audience to cover their ears from hearing Grumpy's censored rude language.
  6. The series got cancelled after two seasons.
    • At the end of "The Enchanted Forest Ranger," it reveals an unresolved cliffhanger about an evil syndicate, led by an unnamed villainous squirrel, that wants to get rid of the 7D.
