The Boondocks is an American adult animated sitcom on Cartoon Network's late-night programming block, Adult Swim. Created by Aaron McGruder, based upon his comic strip of the same name. This page will only apply to the first 3 seasons.

Summary

The show centers around a dysfunctional black family, the Freemans, settling into the fictional, friendly, and overall white suburb of Woodcrest.

Why These Seasons are The Stone That The Builder Refused

1. It is very faithful to the comic it's based on, since it is created by the same author.
2. It cleverly satirizes real life events, stereotypes, politics, social issues, and pop culture that makes the show both entertaining and relatable.
3. Great animation that matches the comic book and anime style. Not only that but the animation improves in Seasons 2-4 as it looks like an actual anime.
4. Awesome characters like Huey, Riley, Grandad, Tom Dubois, and Uncle Ruckus.
5. A plethora of funny and compelling side characters.
6. Great voice acting especially when you realize that Huey and Riley are both voiced by one person: Regina King, who does a great job at voicing both.
7. It delivers important life lessons that the world is a tough place and that nobody is perfect.
8. Amazing and well-choreographed action sequences.
9. A lot of hilarious scenes such as Thugnificient's diss on Robert.

Bad Qualities

1. Constant use of the infamous word N****.
2. Michael Caesar, a character from the original comic strip, never appeared on the show.
3. Season 4, the final season, was made without McGruder's involvement, and as a result, was poorly-received due to a plethora of reasons listed here.
