Choushinsei Flashman (超新星フラッシュマン Chōshinsei Furasshuman, translated into English as Supernova Flashman) is the 10th Super Sentai series produced by Toei Company and Bandai. It aired on TV Asahi on March 1, 1986 to February 21, 1987.

Why It Rocks

  1. The suits, mechs, and monster designs are extremely beautiful
  2. The fight scenes are well choreographed
  3. This one of the most likable Sentai Teams, with each Flashman being very well written
    • Jin/Red Flash, despite having a generic personality, has great chemistry with his teammates and leads them well.
    • Dai/Green Flash is one of the best "cold hearted" characters in Sentai who you care about deeply
    • Bun/Blue Flash is very fun to watch, his struggles on finding his parents again is very engaging
    • Sara/Yellow Flash is possibly the most popular of the five, most likely due to her connections/arc with Dr. Tokimura
    • Lou/Pink Flash, despite not having much of an arc, was still very charismatic and had great focus episodes
  4. The villains, despite being one of the weaker parts of the show, were very intimidating
  5. The opening is very jazzy, similar to Dengeki Sentai Changeman
  6. The plot is somewhat similar to Ressha Sentai ToQger, but much more well executed
  7. There are little to no bad episodes
  8. The finale was a very emotional

Bad Qualities

  1. The villains were pretty lackluster, especially when compared to Changeman's
  2. While this season was good, the next season wasn't well received amongst it's core audiences
