Criminal Minds is an American police procedural crime drama television series created and produced by Jeff Davis. The series premiered on CBS on September 22, 2005, and concluded on February 19, 2020.

The show follows a group of criminal profilers who work for the FBI as members of its Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), using behavioral analysis and profiling to investigate crimes and find perpetrators.

Why It Rocks

  1. For a crime show, Criminal Minds is not full of gore.
  2. It lets you see inside the mind of many different kinds of criminals.
  3. The cast's acting is phenomenal.
  4. The difficult backstories of the characters bring them to life.
  5. The show is not afraid to explore the effects of PTSD and other taboo mental illnesses.
  6. There are some amazing one-line jokes.
  7. Different actors/agents have joined (and left) the team organically.
  8. Good quotations.
  9. Jaw-dropping and fast paced episodes.

Bad Qualities

  1. The plots they use on the show are painfully contrived and depict acts that not even the worst real-world criminals are capable of.
  2. Though Season 11 is decent, it went slightly downhill, but redeemed themselves in Season 12.
