"Ed-n-Seek" is the second part of the sixth episode in the first season of Ed, Edd n Eddy.

Plot

The cul-de-sac children are playing hide-and-seek and the Eds participate in the game.

Why It Rocks

  1. Watching Eddy and Ed go under the couch to find some special things at the start was nice.
  2. Ed holding most of the cul-de-sac kids in his hands in order to end hide and seek is pretty impressive, along with Double D's invention (body heat-seeking goggles).
  3. The hiding spots the cul-de-sac kids and the Eds use for hide and seek are very clever & well structured, especially the last one where they go into the television.
  4. Watching the Eds find the cul-de-sac kids' hiding spots was hilarious and satisfying, along with them spraying soda pop at each other.
  5. "See ya sucker" - Eddy.
  6. Half-Decent Ending: Although the Eds run from Jimmy's house fearing that he would find them and their tree crashes, at least they win the game.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. Half-Bad Ending: When the Eds run from Jimmy's House fearing that he would find them, their tree they used for counting crashed, and it ends with Ed and Double D getting bonked down.

Reception

  • It holds a rating of 7.7/10 on IMDB.

Trivia

  • Eddy was right about Ed having toast for a brain, as revealed in "Boom Boom Out Goes the Ed" from season 5.
  • Plank's parents are first mentioned in this episode when Ed yelled out that Plank's mother is calling. Plank then popped out of a bush. Plank's parents would later appear in "Postcards From the Ed."
  • The Body Heat-Seeking Goggles reappear in the episode, "In Like Ed."
