Fate/kaleid liner prisma Illya is an action, adventure, drama, comedy, fantasy, magical girl Japanese anime series. It's a spinoff of the immensely popular Fate/stay night franchise, and assumes that the Fifth Holy Grail War of Fate/stay night never happened. It has 4 seasons, the first three lasting 10 episodes, and the fourth one lasting 12 episodes, plus an anime movie to end the series.
Why It Rocks
Great animation, although not as good as in the Studio Ufotable fate animes.
Very appealing art style and character designs.
Fan favorite characters appear in this series, some with crucial roles, such as Shirou Emiya, Illyasviel von Einzbern, (the main character), Sakura Mato (who first appears in the Vow in the Snow film) and Rin Tohsaka.
Erika Ainsworth is cute loli.
It's able to appeal to both Fate fans and Magical Girl fans.
A huge abundance of excellent comedy. Both episodes and individual scenes solely involving comedy, as well as comedy that's cleverly implimented into more dramatic and action heavy scenes.
Amazing action scenes, altough not as good as the Studio Ufotable Fate animes.
This anime is loaded with tones of lolicon fanservice, which may turn a lot of viewers off from it.
Shinji Mato being a good person, in the Prisma Phantasm OVA is weird.
