Kamen Rider V3 (仮面ライダーV3 Kamen Raidā Bui Surī, "Masked Rider V3" in English), is a Japanese tokusatsu drama and the second installment of the Kamen Rider Series. Debuting as the 2nd entry of the Showa Era, it serves as a direct sequel to the original Kamen Rider. A joint collaboration between Ishimori Productions and Toei, the series aired from February 17, 1973 to February 9, 1974, with a total of 52 episodes.

Why It Rocks

  1. This was an amazing sequel to the original 1971 Series.
  2. Shiro Kazami (portrayed by Hiroshi Miyauchi) is a very charismatic and badass main rider.
  3. Seeing Takeshi Hongo and Hayato Ichimonji come back is always a plus.
  4. This series gave us Joji Yuki/Riderman, who many consider to be the first Secondary Rider.
  5. The opening is very memorable and catchy.
  6. The monster designs are extremely creepy looking.
  7. The supporting characters are very easy to attach to.
  8. Speaking of which, this is also features the return of Tobei Tachibana.
  9. The V3 suit is visually appealing for the Showa Era.

Bad Qualities

  1. Riderman might be one of the most unpopular suits in the franchise.
  2. The finale was pretty mediocre.
