Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) is an American television comedy series created by Joel Hodgson and produced by Alternaversal Productions, LLC.

Why It Rocks

  1. The characters' hilarious commentaries.
  2. Catchy theme song.
  3. Lovable characters, even the villains.
  4. The Invention Exchanges, in which the SOL crew demonstrate inventions that are fun, cool, or even useful while the Mads show off inventions that are dangerous, impractical, or just plain stupid (but all amusing nonetheless).
  5. Funny sketches that parody the movie they just saw.
  6. Some of the movies themselves are entertainingly bad in their own right, such as Space Mutiny.
  7. The Netflix revival is great.

Bad Qualities

  1. Some of the movies themselves are so awful, not even their commentary could make them watchable, such as Monster A Go Go.
  2. Some of the jokes can come off as obscure or dated.
  3. One episode from the show's KTMA season is missing. While they were still clearly finding their feet in that season, it's a shame not to be able to watch all of the episodes from it.
