"Nerves of Steal" is the second half of the twenty-second episode in the second season's second half of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.

Kick, while in the midst of his Para-boarding ambitions, is strapped for a material that can withstand the G-Forces when he is airborne but is denied such a thing when he tries to borrow such a thing from his neighbors. But when a thief surfaces in the neighborhood, a sleep deprived Kick is accused of stealing the items so to clear his name he forms a Neighborhood Watch with Gunther.

Why It Rocks

  1. Kendall's report card book looks very impressive and well done.
  2. Kick's plan of clearing his name is great and well structured, as he forms a Neighborhood Watch with Gunther & puts the entire cul-de-sac on lockdown to find out who stole the items and scans the neighbors in case they have anything important.
  3. As mentioned above, Kick and Gunther are still likable characters, with Kick doing a great job on planning the Neighborhood Watch and Gunther always having Kick's back.
  4. Although Kick found out that he was the thief, at least he cleared his name by giving everyone their beloved things back and confessing that he did it - and he stole the things as he was paraboarding in his sleep and didn't realize.
  5. Half-Decent Ending: As mentioned above, Kick gave his neighbors back the things he stole and confessed to Gunther and the neighbors that he stole the items.
  6. Unlike the infamous Arthur version, the *mystery thief" plot is well executed here and watching Kick's Neighborhood Watch was especially fun and interesting to sit through, and not mean-spirited.

Bad Qualities

  1. Bad Plot Twist: It turns out that Kick himself was the person who stole the neighbors' belongings as he was trying to paraboard in his sleep.
  2. Brad was still unlikable at the start for whipping Kick with his Tankini Lumberjack flag.
  3. Half-Bad Ending: Although somewhat deserved, the neighbors still torture Kick even when he said that they can forget that he stole the belongings.
