Plot

When a show called The Happy Show Show hypnotizes everyone in Retroville, Jimmy and Cindy must stop it before the whole world becomes happy, mindless zombies.

Why It Rocks

  1. Hilarious and memorable quotes, such as "Yeah, Carl? Where have you been for the last ten years?" and "So, um, what were you doing at Betty Quinlain's house again?".
  2. Great plot. The Happy Show Show is pretty creative.
  3. This episode shows what toxic fanbases are like, which was impressive for early 2006.
  4. Amazing action scenes, notably the scene where Jimmy and Cindy are being chased.
  5. Perfectly timed jokes, especially where Cindy is constantly asking what Jimmy did with Betty.
  6. Good animation.
  7. Brilliant ending.
  8. It manages to be creepy, yet funny at the same time.
  9. "Don't worry! They can't hide from us forever!"

Bad Qualities

  1. It has kind of a weird message.
  2. The episode doesn't explain how Cindy lost her karate competition to a "six-year-old beige belt on crutches," especially considering the fact that she single-handedly took down Carl, Sheen, Hugh, Judy, and the episode's villain Grandma Taters?

Reception

  • This episode, along with Vanishing Act, hold a rating of 7.1 out of 100 on IMDB.
