Oswald is an American-British children's animated television series originally airing on Nickelodeon as part of the Nick Jr. block. It aired from August 20, 2001 to September 19, 2003 in the United States. The show was created by Dan Yaccarino and co-produced by HIT Entertainment.
Why It Makes Oswald A Friendly Octopus
Simple, but very imaginative and colorful animation, despite being animated by a Korean studio.
Plenty of cute and likable characters, like Oswald, Weenie, Daisy, and Henry.
Big City is very creative, cool and wonderful, especially the townspeople.
It teaches kids about solving various problems.
Nice-sounding and relaxing opening theme and credit music.
Amazing voice-acting. Fred Savage was great as Oswald.
Some funny moments here and there.
The music in the theme song and credits, although they are both beautiful-sounding to the ears (see WIR #5), they can be kind of depressing and sad.
It only lasted one season, which is a downside because it was so popular when it was first released, and HiT cancelled that show without a reason or explanation why.
