Power Rangers Turbo is an American television series and the fifth season of the Power Rangers franchise. The show was prefaced with the franchise's second film, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. As with its predecessors, Power Rangers Turbo is based on one of the entries of the Super Sentai series; in Turbo's case, the source of the series is Gekisou Sentai Carranger. The series introduced a child actor as the new Blue Ranger, and featured the departure of the long-running characters Zordon and Alpha 5, as well the veteran team of Rangers and introduced four new characters to take the place of the veteran Rangers.

Why It Rocksangers.

  1. Great costume designs for the Rangers.
  2. Funny villains such as Divatox, Elgar and Porto.
  3. Awesome theme song.
  4. "Chase Into Space" is a great finale that takes place before the events of In Space.
  5. Some funny moments.
  6. Cool designs for the Zords.
  7. Very successful toy sales.
  8. Compared to the film Turbo: a Power Rangers Movie, it was a major improvement.
    • Speaking of which, this was also the first and only Power Rangers season that takes place after the events of the Movie.

Bad Qualities

  1. Despite being a funny villain, Divatox can be annoying at times.
  2. Some bad episodes like Bicycle Built for the Blues, The Spirit of the Woods, The Song of Confusion.
  3. The monster names can be awkward at times.
  4. The first half of the season was a little weak.
  5. Justin Stewart, despite being awesome, He was getting annoying and unlikable sometimes. (depending on your point of view.)
  6. Despite being a decent season, the season is arguably considered to be the weakest season of the Zordan era.

Just to let everyone know, the urban legend that Turbo nearly killed Power Rangers is completely false.

Yes, it's true that the first half of Turbo had low ratings, and the Turbo movie suffered at the box office, but all of that was from a two-year ratings decline that had been stuck on the franchise since Mighty Morphin Season 3 in late 1995 (Zeo would've gotten huge ratings, but Big Bad Beetleborgs was getting all the attention in late 1996). But, after the change of cast in "Passing the Torch" happened, the second half of Turbo started getting good ratings, which was good news for Saban and the Power Rangers franchise.

On top of that, the old Power Rangers (Tommy, Kat, Adam, and Tanya) were becoming adults. Yes, teenagers DO have some responsibilities and problems, but nothing compared to adulthood, which means REAL responsibilities such as getting a job and paying bills. These are things a teenager lacks, which makes them ideal Power Rangers. If there's a monster attack, they don't have to make up some random excuse and risk their jobs to step out. It's possible for them to go into space and leave their seemingly non-existent parents behind. Teenagers makes sense. Not terribly much sense, I'll grant you, but you get the idea.

And honestly, the replacements (T.J., Cassie, Carlos, and Ashley) are no worse than the first team of Power Rangers (Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy, and Kimberly) were when they were chosen by Zordon. Hell, Billy couldn't even fight well back then, and they still picked him up.

Just my opinion.

I do sorta agree. I tried to watch most of the classic power rangers seasons, from all seasons of Mighty Morphin, all the way to Dino Super Charge (already finished Ninja Steel beforehand) and i skipped Turbo after a few episodes because it was hella boring.
