"Runaway Recital" is the first half of the eighth episode in the first season of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.

Harold, Kick's father, forces Kick to take piano lessons, which leads to Kick's another wild escape.

Why It Rocks

  1. Some funny moments, such as Gunther falling into lots of leaves and Kick saying "duck!" to Gunther twice when the animal lands on him and then "moose!" when a moose was coming, which is a clever reference/rhyme to the game "duck, duck, goose".
  2. A lorry truck being used as a ramp attraction is pretty impressive, along with Kick playing his piano while stunting for his father's requests and the piano keys controlling his direction.
  3. Speaking of which, the music Kick plays on the piano while stunting is great to listen to, along with the runaway ride Kick has with the piano.
  4. Kick and Gunther are still likable characters, and Kick's plan to play the piano while stunting was very clever as he could impress his father while impressing himself, and Gunther had Kick's back by cycling to help make the plan well executed.
  5. Good Ending: Despite Kick still not knowing how to play the piano at home, he showed Harold that he could play it while stunting around town, though it did scare Harold.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. The start was a bit lackluster, with Harold forcing kick to do piano lessons instead of stunting outside, and none of Kick's plans work until he planned to do stunting with Gunther's cycling help.
