Snorks is an American-Belgian animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera and ran for a total of four seasons (and 65 episodes) on NBC from September 15, 1984, to May 13, 1989. The program continued to be available in syndication from 1987 to 1989 as part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera's third season.

Why It Rocks

  1. The show predated SpongeBob SquarePants, because of its underwater setting and sea creatures dressed like humans.
  2. Is similar to The Smurfs, except it takes place in modern times and is mostly its own thing.
  3. Memorable characters such as Allstar, Casey, Junior, Tooter and Daffney.
  4. Catchy and upbeat theme tunes, such as "Come Along with the Snorks".
  5. Better relationships, good writing and slapstick humor.
  6. The voice acting is top-notch.
  7. Junior used to be vicious in seasons 1 and 2, and managed to redeem himself in seasons 3 and 4.
  8. Bigweed, Lil' Seaweed and Dr. Strangesnork are the cool main villains.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. The character of Dimmy, after the first two seasons, was leaved from show in the last two seasons for introducing other new characters.

Trivia

  • Snorks was not only popular in the United States of America, it was also popular in Asia and in the rest of the Europe (especially in Italy), too.
