"Tag Yer Ed" is the second half of the seventh episode in the first season of Ed, Edd, n Eddy.

Plot

When Edd gets ridiculed for being physically weak by Kevin and Rolf, Eddy decides to toughen him up by putting him through a training program, inevitably leading to a wrestling match with the Kankers.

Why It Deserves Chunky Puffs

  1. Double D teaching Ed and Eddy how to get milk from a cow is pretty interesting and especially good if you're a farmer and need some help with animals, along with his other quote "muscle expenditure can cause sightly stretch marks".
  2. Eddy decides to make Double D strong by giving him the threadmill to walk on, the punching bag to punch and the weightlifter to weightlift and then later on, creates a wrestling stadium in the backyard, which is pretty impressive. And then, he challenges the Kanker Sisters to a wrestling match and invites the rest of the cul-de-sac without showing any fear.
  3. Double D's wrestling costume looks pretty decent and unique, and the "wrestling match" with Plank was also decent enough to watch.
  4. Some funny moments, such as Eddy's famous quotes "I love Chunky Puffs" & "I hate Chunky Milk", along with him saying "Plank lost fair and square, get it, Square?"
  5. The wrestling match the Eds have with the Kanker Sisters was fun to watch, despite Double D losing.
  6. Half-Good Ending: Despite losing to the Kanker Sisters who were the better fighters, the Eds still keep their sense of optimism by eating Chunky Puffs, with Double D having gained a confidence boost at the end.

Bad Qualities

  1. Kevin, Rolf, Sarah, and Jimmy all made fun of Double D just for being physically weak - to the point where Kevin and Rolf compare him to a 2-year-old when trying to throw the football.
    • To make matters worse, they never feel remorse for making fun of Double D, nor do they apologize or get called out aside from Eddy mildly calling the Kankers out for a wrestling match.
    • Jimmy is a hypocrite because he is physically weaker than Double D.
  2. Half-Bad Ending: When the Eds tried to fight the Kanker Sisters in the wrestling match, the Kankers beat the Eds to a pulp and win, and no-one asks the Eds if they're okay, and it just ends with them eating Chunky Puffs by their own.

Reception

  • This episode, along with "Look into my Eds", holds a rating of 8.2 out of 10 on IMDB.
