"To Eris Human" is the second part of the seventh episode in the first season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and the third part of the fourth episode in the second season of Grim & Evil.

Plot

While going to the shopping mall with Billy and Mandy, Grim spots the seductive Eris, the cunning Goddess of Chaos and Discord, and tries to ask her out. However, Eris is not interested in the skinless Grim, but in the muscular Adonis. Then, Eris invites Mandy to join her in creating chaos using the Apple of Discord. Although initially they get along, Eris pulls a prank on Mandy, who subsequently tries to get revenge. In the end, Mandy fools Eris into thinking that Adonis is in the movie theater and Eris accidentally kisses Grim, who says that he will never wash his left cheek again.

Why It's Lovely

  1. Some funny moments, such as Billy saying "socks" multiple times and buying them as food (depending on your view), along with Eris making a man trip on a banana skin and fall down the escalators after skateboarding with her magical Apple of Discord.
  2. Eris turning her golden apple into many things is very impressive, and is especially useful when you get very angry and want to express it.
  3. Mandy is a likable and relatable character for telling Eris that a "goddess" wants to meet her in the movie theatre when getting the idea from Billy saying the typical "kissing while sitting in a tree" sentence. Then, when Eris goes into the theatre, she finds out that it's actually Grim when kissing him and runs away, meaning that Mandy was teaching her a lesson for ditching her for no reason at all.
  4. While unjustified on what she did to Mandy, Eris not accepting Grim is kind of justified due to the fact that he's a skeleton with no skin whatsoever.
  5. Decent Ending: When Eris runs away from the theatre when finding out that Grim was her "goddess", Grim sits on one of the seats smiling as he got kissed by Eris, while Billy says "kissing is gross" and offers a hot-buttered sweatsock, ending off the episode.

Bad Qualities

  1. Eris was a bit unlikable for ditching Mandy for no reason along with putting a bucket of water on her head when she barely did anything wrong at all to deserve it. And also, for rejecting Grim, but it is justified as mentioned above and she did get her comeuppance near the end and also her first appearance.
  2. Depending on your view, Billy buying socks as food is a bit disgusting, and a waste of clothing material.

Reception

  • This episode, along with "Hoss Delgado: Spectral Exterminator" & "Evil on Trial" hold a rating of 8.1 out of 10 on IMDB.
