Truth or Ed is the first half of the seventh episode in the fifth season of Ed, Edd, n Eddy.

Eddy takes over the duties of the school newspaper, publishing false articles about the other kids, only for chaos to erupt when everyone turns on each other and become suspicious of the newsroom.

Why It Truthfully Rocks

  1. The basketball game that Ed, Jonny, Rolf, Nazz and Kevin play at the start was pretty nice to watch, despite Ed ending the game prematurely by popping the ball with his teeth.
    • Eddy not getting picked was justified due to him picking on Rolf and Kevin.
  2. Some funny moments, such as:
    • Ed responding to Double D inviting him to join the newspaper club with "As long as I don't get any on my shoes, Double D. My mom has got no carpets".
    • Ed eating a sandal as he thought that Eddy said that instead of "scandal".
    • The running gag where Ed mispronounces Eddy's "Bobby Blabby" nickname.
    • Rolf dressing his pet pig Wilfred in his clothes so he can avoid taking a test.
    • The short fight between Nazz and Sarah.
  3. Although gossipy and scandalous, the newspaper Eddy publishes sounds pretty interesting and very cool, or as he calls it, "The Eddy Way".
  4. Sarah finally gets her comeuppance for her cruel actions in previous episodes, as one of Eddy's newspapers has a picture of Sarah with a gorilla's mouth edited over hers, causing her to start crying.
  5. Although going too far, the cul-de-sac kids' in-fighting is also justified, due to Eddy publishing scandalous and false news about them.
  6. Good Ending: Eddy gets exposed as "Bobby Blabby" and is forced to knit the world's largest doily as punishment, while Double D takes over as editor of the school newspaper.

Bad Qualities

  1. Eddy is pretty unlikable for publishing fake news just for money (even if it's interesting and Sarah deserved it). Before that, he picks on Kevin and Rolf at the basketball game.
  2. The bit where Rolf looks up Jonny's nostrils to find Atlantis, while funny, is a little gross.

This episode, along with "This Won't Hurt an Ed", holds a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDb.
