"Used Ink" is the third part of the fifth episode in the fourth season of Dexter's Laboratory.

Dexter creates a new type of ink that lets him command people to do whatever he wants. However, when Mandark gets his hands on it, Dexter is the one that becomes commanded.

Why It Won't Splatter Ink

  1. The plot is very creative here, considering that it's an episode from the revival. It has Dexter creating ink that makes his family do commands for him whenever he writes on it, which sounds cool and interesting.
  2. The title card is creative and has something to do with the episode, with spilled ink from a jar, although having a lazy white background.
  3. Some funny moments, such as Dexter having the urge to destroy his lab and do push-ups due to Mandark writing the commands.
  4. Dee Dee is actually likable for a bit here, as she sticks up to her brother and stops Mandark from taking over the world.
  5. Mandark's notepad being shaped in an "M" is pretty neat.
  6. Funny Ending: Monkey ends up getting the command pen and so, Dexter, Dee Dee and Mandark get bananas, a girl monkey, a tire swing and a sugar cane. Speaking of which, a monkey writing commands is impressive.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. Once again, Mandark's laugh still sounds forced.
  2. The opening is mean-spirited since Dexter is busy with his work while his family forces him to do some chores.
