Vegans is the 8th episode of Season 2 of Mr. Pickles and the 19th episode overall.

Beverly is invited to join a group of Vegans at the Vegan Headquarters without the intentions of how to be a true Vegan.

Why It Rocks

  1. The characters are more likable than usual, especially Beverly.
    • Mr. Pickles is also likable for the most part.
  2. This episode is well-written unlike most of the episodes.
  3. The voice acting is better than usual.
  4. This is one of the few episodes Henry isn’t a butt-monkey, which is great.
  5. Some funny moments in this episode, like Mr. Pickles’ happy times (of his perverted thoughts of Beverly) being constantly interrupted by Tommy’s calling for him, and the family failing to cook for themselves without Beverly.
  6. The plot of a Vegan group who turns evil when anyone in the group disrespects their rules is good and show that not all groups are nice and friendly.
  7. Mr. Pickles’ actions are actually justified in this episode, as he shows he truly does care about Beverly deep down despite his perverted thoughts about her, and the Vegan group were about to kill Beverly and fooled the family into not coming in, so that’s why he murders all of the Vegan members (except for one who kills himself, just to join the Frey) who were going to kill Beverly to protect her.
  8. The way Mr. Pickles kills his victims in this episode is in a creative way.
  9. While Mr. Pickles got his chance to do his perverted dream (of course…), he actually didn’t, showing that he is willing to put aside his perverted thoughts to help his family, as he brought Beverly out of the building after killing the Vegans, and just accepts a normal belly rub from Beverly.
  10. A good ending where Mr. Pickles brings Beverly back to the family, who were at the diner, and they all eat together. Tommy’s misfortune was also pretty funny.

Bad Qualities

  1. Mr. Pickles did have perverted thoughts about Beverly, as shown in a few scenes, but he did push it aside when saving her from the Vegans.
  2. The moment where Tommy slaps Mr. Pickles with a pickle was very mean-spirited, as Mr. Pickles actually didn’t do anything wrong in this episode at all and was saving Beverly while the family was at the diner.
